It was a short but busy week for cubs in Division 9.
Children discussed the reasons for reading (for pleasure and to acquire information).
They sorted books from Scholastic Book order forms into fiction and non-fiction books
they might like to read. Their selections are on display in the hallway outside of our classroom. Many children are eagerly awaiting our upcoming Scholastic Book Fair.

We had the COWS ON WHEELS Dairy presentation on Wednesday. Children enjoyed learning about Dairy farming.
On Friday afternoon Janet Crockford visited our classroom. She presented an interactive session with students to identify the different seasonal activities of local Aboriginal people of the past. Students made their own medicine wheel representing the four colours of the seasons. A THANK YOU goes out to Mrs Nunes, Mrs. English and Ms. Lennie for assisting us with the making of our medicine wheels.
Busy at work.
